For Indian construction SMBs

Construction billing software for Indian builders & contractors

Running-account (RA) & milestone bills, GST e-Invoice, retention, change orders, e-Way Bill, GSTR-1 ready exports — all in one workspace. Built for Indian construction SMBs from day one.

14-day free trial · Cancel anytime · GST-native from day one

Most Indian construction firms still draft their running-account (RA) bills in Excel, type the GST manually, and discover the e-Invoice IRN requirement on filing day. Rebaar replaces that pipeline with a single GST-native billing system that knows how Indian construction actually works — retention percentages, advance recovery, and milestone vs. progress billing.

What you actually get

Running-account (RA) bills with retention & advance recovery
Running-account stage bills with line items, BOQ-linked quantities, retention percentage, advance recovery, and previous-bill carry-forward — as a clean, professional PDF your clients accept.
GST e-Invoice (IRN) — bring your own GSP credentials
Rebaar generates the IRN-ready JSON. When you connect your GST IRP API credentials (NIC sandbox or any GSP), the system POSTs and receives the signed IRN + QR. Without credentials it produces the deterministic hash so workflows keep moving in dev.
GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B preparation
Sales register exports in the format GSTR-1 / 3B accept. HSN/SAC summary, B2B/B2C split, taxable-value reconciliation against books. Your CA gets a clean file instead of a Excel.
e-Way Bill generation
For inter-state material movements: vehicle number, distance, transporter ID. With NIC e-Way Bill API credentials the route POSTs and gets back an EBN; without credentials it computes a local 12-digit hash so the workflow doesn't block.
Milestone & progress billing
Bill against client-signed milestones or as-built percentages. Each bill carries the cumulative work done, percent complete, and balance to be invoiced — so you and the client always see the same number.
TDS 194C, 194J, 194I, 194Q handling
Track which invoices have TDS deducted by the client. Quarterly TDS deduction summary against PAN. Lines up with the 26AS Form your CA pulls.
Multi-project, multi-workspace, role-based access
Owner sees consolidated P&L. PMs see only the projects they own. Accountant sees the books, not the site photos. Site engineer sees daily logs, not vendor margins.

Frequently asked questions

What is construction billing software?
Construction billing software handles the invoicing pipeline specific to construction: milestone and stage (running-account) bills, retention, advance recovery, change orders, and GST-compliant invoice generation including e-Invoice IRN and e-Way Bill. Generic billing tools (Tally, Zoho Books) don't natively handle retention, advance recovery, or BOQ-linked milestones.
Is Rebaar GST-compliant for Indian construction firms?
Yes. Every invoice carries the right HSN/SAC code, IGST/CGST/SGST split based on place of supply, and an e-Invoice IRN when your turnover crosses the threshold (₹5 crore as of FY 2026-27). GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B exports are produced in the format the government portal accepts.
Do I need separate GST API credentials for e-Invoice?
Yes. Rebaar uses a bring-your-own-credentials model: you connect your own NIC sandbox or GSP credentials (Adaequare, ClearTax, Cygnet, etc.) on the integrations page. We never charge per-document fees and never pool credentials across customers. ₹5,500/month per workspace on Starter, 14-day free trial. Pricing on the /pricing page.
Can Rebaar generate RA (running-account) bills?
Yes. Running-account (RA) bills are first-class in Rebaar: each bill carries cumulative work done, the this-bill amount, retention percentage, advance recovery, and the previous balance reconciled forward — printed as a clean PDF your clients accept.
How does Rebaar handle retention and defect-liability holdbacks?
Each invoice line can carry a retention percentage. The retained amount is held against the project and released either on a configurable date (e.g. 12 months after handover) or on a manual release event. The P&L treats retention as a contra-asset, not as collected revenue.
Can clients pay invoices online?
Invoices go out as GST-compliant PDFs your client can pay by any means you already use. You record the receipt in Rebaar and the receivable settles with a receipt voucher. Collecting payment inside the product is on the roadmap, not shipped — we would rather say so than imply it.
Does Rebaar work for small contractors with just 5-10 site staff?
Yes — this is exactly our target segment. Starter is ₹5,500/month per workspace and covers up to 5 site staff; firms with up to 20 move to Growth (₹12,500/month), which adds accounts payable, material indents, and statutory payroll.
How is Rebaar different from Tally?
Tally is bookkeeping; Rebaar is construction operations + bookkeeping. Tally has no concept of BOQ, stage / running-account billing, milestones, site photos, RFIs, e-Way Bill, or contractor payroll with EPF/ESI/PT. You can keep using Tally for the ledger and export from Rebaar — or use Rebaar end-to-end.
Can I try Rebaar before paying?
Yes. 14-day free trial. Sign up, create a workspace, import or create a few BOQ lines, run a test stage bill end to end. After 14 days you pick a plan; the trial workspace becomes read-only if you don't (no auto-charge).
